2nd Annual thankful giving appeal - Organized by Karen Abrams and Kathya Arevalo
The 2021 Thankful Giving Food Distribution Event at the Fr. English Food Pantry
In the fall of 2020, with COVID-19 at its peak, Karen Abrams and her family were moved by the many stories of those in need, and the organizations serving the community who help them.
Together with the help of Kathya Arevalo, they identified Catholic Charities' At-Risk Youth Programs as a group that would benefit from some additional cheer around the holidays. The Abrams family was able to raise enough funds to serve delicious 4 course meals to 60 families in need!
In 2021, Karen, Kathya and their supporters took this event to a new level - raising enough funds to feed 350 families! This special event helped over 1,000 children, women and men.
