“Food is so expensive and those who come into our food pantries are feeling the impact of these rising costs more than anyone else,” Carlos Roldan, Catholic Charities Director of Food Pantries.
Catholic Charities helps thousands of people each day and our 3 food pantries (Hope House, Dover; Fr. English, Paterson; and Partnership for Social Services, Franklin) are helping more people than ever before in our history. Prior to COVID-19 these pantries helped up to 5,000 people each month. Now, we assist over 20,000 children, women and men monthly.
Inflation, supply chain issues, and additional challenges have affected us all, most notably those who are food insecure.
Our recent Corpus Christi Food Drive spearheaded by Bishop Kevin Sweeney and made possible through the generosity of the Diocese of Paterson Faithful, helped us stock our shelves; but challenges remain as we persevere through the summer months.
Our pantries operate completely through donations and help from our communities is needed as we persevere forward.
Please support our Summer Food Appeal by donating or by hosting your own food drive. You may make a monetary donation below. If you are interested in hosting your own food drive with your family, at your place of work, or with your community service group please email info@ccpaterson.org and we will work with you.
Thank you for all you do for those most in need!
