Finnegan House is a large two story home in Oak Ridge, New Jersey. Finnegan House provides help and creates hope for 7 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Finnegan House was built and opened in 1976. It was dedicated in memory of John Finnegan, a supporter of the Department who was a member of the Optimist Club of Jefferson Township and Joseph Lamb Knights of Columbus. Mr. Finnegan and his fellow Optimist Club members assisted with the construction of this program; which celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2016.
Finnegan House is located on Kelly Way along with our Daniel McCoy Maintenance Facility and 2 staff apartments. Kelly Way is named in honor of Jack Kelly. Mr. Kelly was a fellow Optimist Club Member along with Mr. Finnegan. These men were instrumental in opening our first homes in Jefferson Township. The Wiegand Farm Golf Classic was also founded by Mr. Kelly, and has helped raise over $2,000,000 for the Department.
